Vector Aerospace hosts successful customer event
Dec. 6, 2012, Summerside, P.E.I. - Vector Aerospace Engine Services-Atlantic, a leading provider of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, recently hosted a PT6A Customer Day event at its Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) in Johannesburg, South Africa (Vector Aerospace Africa (Pty) Ltd). The event, which was held Nov. 21, was facilitated by Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC).

"The event was an excellent opportunity for existing and potential customers to learn more about the PT6A turboprop engine and meet with true turboprop experts. We were very fortunate to have a representative from P&WC’s customer service team, along with members from Vector’s team on hand during the Customer Day to discuss the PT6A engine and to provide a complete overview of the engine’s operation and maintenance.”

Vector’s expansion into the African marketplace has been a key component in the company’s customer service growth strategy. The company has two strategically located facilities in Africa; a DOF in Johannesburg, South Africa and a service center in Nairobi, Kenya. The Johannesburg shop offers operators throughout the region complete overhaul services on many P&WC PT6A engines, and field service offerings on the P&WC JT15D and PW100 engine series while the Nairobi shop offers field service and engine line maintenance repairs on the P&WC PT6A and PW100 engine series.
