Sept. 2, 2010, Burlington, Ont. – L-3 WESCAM announced today that it
has received an order from Quantum Research International Inc. to
supply the vital imaging and targeting sensors required for the Long
Endurance Multi-Intelligence Vehicle (LEMV) to be used by the United
States Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic
Command (SMDC/ARSTRAT).

Deliveries of two MX™-15HDi and two MX™-20D EO/IR turrets will begin in 2010 and be completed
by January 2011.

At eight stories high and as long and wide as a football field, the LEMV platform will be equipped with
four WESCAM turrets at one time. This advanced configuration will enable both general surveillance
and precise targeting missions on four separate geographical locations simultaneously from a
sustained altitude of 20,000 feet mean sea level.

Each turret will be fully equipped with 1080p imaging cameras and will have multiple HD feeds
streaming from the cameras within each turret. The turrets’ high-definition imaging capability will
uncover key intelligence by generating bolder colors, greater contrasts, increased image sharpness
and more pixels on target.

“L-3 WESCAM’s leading stabilization and impressive long-range identification technologies are ideally
suited for a platform that will provide persistent ISR capability from 20,000 feet throughout its mission,”
said Paul Jennison, vice president of sales and new business development for L-3 WESCAM. “We’re
proud to be the system of choice and on a team dedicated to creating integrated ISR capability within
a changing battlefield. WESCAM is well-positioned to quickly adapt to growth in this program as
requirements increase.”

The selection of L-3 WESCAM’s MX-15HDi and MX-20D turrets for LEMV was made by the Army G2.
