matt-nichollsMay 6, 2014, Simcoe, Ont. – WINGS Magazine has been nominated for
a pair of 2014 Kenneth R. Wilson (KRW) Awards from the Canadian
Business Press. The KRW Awards honour excellence in Canadian
business-to-business magazine publishing.

WINGS Editor Matt Nicholls has been nominated for two awards: Best Editorial, “Celebrating excellence in design” (March/April 2013); and Best Profile of a Company, “The difference makers” (July/August 2013). Nicholls’ editorial discusses the Canadian aerospace industry and the need for an aerospace “cluster” in the GTA around the Bombardier site in Toronto, while his feature highlights small up-and-coming aerospace firms in the Montreal area. The KRW award winners will be announced at the 60th annual KRW Awards on June 3th at a gala event in Toronto.

“Matt has created a whole new dimension in WINGS over the past few months, highlighting Canada’s dynamic aerospace industry,” said WINGS and HELICOPTERS magazines’ Group Publisher Scott Jamieson. “It’s great to see Matt’s hard work being recognized at this level. It has also been tremendous to highlight such a dynamic Canadian sector.”

Nicholls has spent more than four years at the helm of WINGS and HELICOPTERS magazines after a lengthy editorial career with a number of consumer and business titles.
