In an effort to help promote aviation as a career among Canada’s youth, Wings magazine has launched a combined print and web recruiting campaign called Careers in Aviation Canada. The campaign includes a 20-page aviation program booklet that is included in the January/February issue of Wings, and was distributed to over 3,500 high school guidance counsellors across Canada.

A dedicated website – www.careersinaviation.ca – was also launched in conjunction with the print campaign. The regularly-updated site will allow potential recruits to learn a little more about aviation career paths, and to research education and training programs in their regions.

Career paths and programs include:

  • Pilot training, both fixed and rotary wing
  • Aircraft maintenance/maintenance technician
  • University aviation programs
  • Flight crew
