Worker falls when de icing plane in Calgary

Dec. 21, 2009, Calgary – Emergency officials say a worker de-icing a plane at the Calgary International Airport has fallen to his death.

Dec. 21, 2009, Calgary – Emergency officials say a worker de-icing a plane at
the Calgary International Airport has fallen to his death.

It's not known who employed the man.

The 50-year-old man died after falling about six metres, said police Insp. Rob Williams.

"He fell from a de-icing truck," said Williams.

Police and occupational health and safety officials are investigating.
