Aéro Montréal presents the 4th edition of the Aerospace Innovation Forum 2013

Nov. 26, 2013, Montreal - Suzanne M. Benoît, President of Aéro Montréal, invites media representatives to participate in the 4th edition of the Aerospace Innovation Forum 2013 with the theme “Innovation Powering Sustainability for the Aerospace Industry,” which will be held from December 2 to 4 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, 1001 place Jean-Paul-Riopelle.

Organized in collaboration with the Consortium for Research and Innovation in Aerospace in Québec (CRIAQ), the Aerospace Innovation Forum 2013 will this year pay special attention to technology trends in the industry and international best practices in the design, manufacture, operation and end-of-life management of aerospace products.

Monday, December 2

8 a.m.  Plenary – Welcoming remarks by Suzanne M. Benoît, President, Aéro Montréal;
Clément Fortin, President and CEO, CRIAQ; Patrick Champagne, Chair of Aéro Montréal’s Innovation Working Group and Vice President, Cockpits and Systems Integration, Esterline CMC Electronics; and Maria Della Posta, Chair of the Board of Directors of Aéro Montréal and Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Pratt & Whitney Canada.
 
8:15 a.m. Plenary – Forum Opening by Nicolas Marceau, Minister of Finance and the Economy, Québec.
 
8:30 a.m. Plenary – “The United States: An Aerospace Nation,” presented by Ambassador Duane Woerth, United States representative to ICAO.
 
8:45 a.m. Plenary – “Vision of the lifecycle of major aerospace platforms,” presented by Rob Dewar, Vice President and General Manager, CSeries, Bombardier Aerospace; Yann Barbaux, Chief Innovation Officer, Airbus; Bruno Stoufflet, Director of Forecasting and Scientific Strategy, Dassault Aviation.
 
10 a.m. Plenary – Speech by the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Industry, Canada: “The Review of aerospace and space programs and policies: an account of a year of action”
 
10:45 a.m. Press Conference – Signing of a cooperation agreement between Aéro Montréal and Vermont Aerospace & Aviation Association.
 
12:30 p.m. Luncheon speech – “Innovation, the heart of Bombardier’s aviation strategy,” by Guy Hachey, President and Chief Operating Officer, Bombardier Aerospace.
 
4 p.m. Plenary – “Eco- design,” presented by Eric Dautriat, Executive Director, Clean Sky.
 
5:30 p.m. Cocktail reception hosted by Norton Rose Fulbright Award of new MACH Initiative performance labels to Québec SMEs.
