Air Canada adds daily non-stop TO-San Antonio flights

To the lively sounds of a mariachi band, the first daily non-stop flight between Toronto and San Antonio, Tex. took off from Pearson International Airport this week. The non-stop flight operated by Air Canada Express ushered in a new era of greater closeness between these two cities and will continue to operate year-round.

The new route will be operated with regional jet aircraft with flights timed to conveniently connect with Air Canada’s domestic and international schedule. The new flights provide for Aeroplan accumulation and redemption, Star Alliance reciprocal benefits and, for eligible customers, priority check-in, Maple Leaf Lounge access in Toronto, priority boarding and other benefits.

San Antonio welcomes more than 34 million visitors a year, making it the top tourism destination in Texas. Its rich history, cultural attractions and lively arts and culinary scene include the world-famous Alamo, the 24-km-long River Walk and the Pearl, a historic brewery transformed into a complex with independent restaurants, shopping and nightlife. The city’s five Spanish colonial missions, featuring the Alamo, make up the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Texas.
