“We are delighted to deliver ALC’s first 737 NG aircraft to Air Vanuatu, a new customer for ALC as of July 2015 when the placement of this aircraft was first announced,” said Steven F. Udvar-Házy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Air Lease Corporation. “The new 737 NG offers significant improvements in fuel efficiency and passenger experience, making it the perfect match for Air Vanuatu as they renew and enhance their fleet.”

“We are thrilled that ALC has committed the majority of its existing single-aisle fleet to the Boeing 737 program,” said Bill Collins, vice president, Leasing and Asset Management Sales, Boeing Commercial Airplanes. “And we know this Next-Generation 737 will be a great addition to the Air Vanuatu fleet.”

The Next-Generation 737-800 will feature the airline’s refreshed interior and the signature elements of Boeing’s innovative Sky Interior with modern sculpted sidewalls and window reveals, larger pivoting overhead stowage bins and LED lighting that enhances the sense of spaciousness.

Air Vanuatu operates to Australia, New Zealand and destinations in the South Pacific.
