Flight Data Systems Appoints New President, Anthony Rios

(Photo: Flight Data Systems) Flight Data Systems, which provides flight data solutions for the business, military, and commercial aviation segments, has named Anthony Rios as President, effective immediately. Rios will succeed Darren Privitera, who remains with the company as Managing Director through May 2021, working with Rios to develop long-term strategies for the organization.
In his new role, Rios will manage Flight Data Systems’ global operations in Dallas, Melbourne, and London, while focusing on synergizing the organization’s product portfolio for innovation.

Rios brings two decades of experience with innovative, aviation technology start-ups as well as established market leaders. Flight Data Systems describes him as an entrepreneurial leader with domestic and international experience in strategy development, sales, product development, operations, and engineering. These skills are supported by the technical knowledge he gained through 13 years of engineering specific roles.

Rios holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, a Master of Business Administration (MBA), an FAA Commercial Pilot License (SEL-PPL, MEL-PPL, MEL-CPL, Instrument, High Performance/Complex, CE500 Type Rating) and regularly flies General Aviation aircraft for business and pleasure.
Rios is the latest member of Flight Data Systems’ leadership team which includes recent additions Kerry Farrish, Vice President of Sales, and David Mewbourne, Director of Engineering.
