Flight Display Systems acquired by HPEF III

Nov. 11, 2014, Atlanta, Ga. - Flight Display Systems has announced that it has been acquired by Harbert Private Equity Fund III. Reed Macdonald has been appointed Chief Executive Officer.

Flight Display Systems has been at the forefront of innovation in the cabin technology sector for over a decade. This investment will extend the legacy of innovation and strengthen its position as a customer-centric provider of premium aircraft electronics. The acquisition will fuel continued growth, expand engineering and production capabilities, and further enhance partner relationships.

Mr. Macdonald, who had previously served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, steps into the leadership role of the company possessing extensive knowledge of Flight Display Systems markets, clients, and robust product capabilities. He has a track record of building successful companies. His experience and leadership will assure a seamless transition.
