FlightSafety has also recently received Level D qualification from the United States Federal Aviation Administration for an Airbus A320 simulator located at the company’s simulation design, manufacturing and support facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

FlightSafety’s first Airbus A320 simulator delivered to China was designed and manufactured for Wisesoft Corporation of Chendu China and will be used to provide initial and recurrent training to Air China pilots.

The Airbus A320 simulator located in Tulsa will be used initially by leading aviation organizations for pilot and maintenance technician training and to provide FlightSafety with direct feedback on the new advances in technology it has developed and incorporated into the device.

“The design, manufacture and qualification of these two new Airbus A320 simulators is a clear demonstration of our commitment and ability to provide advanced technology simulators to commercial airlines around the world ,” said Rick Armstrong, Vice President, Simulation. “An increasing number of airlines recognize FlightSafety’s ability to deliver high quality training devices with lead times that meet their schedules and provide exceptional overall value.”

FlightSafety has delivered over 130 simulators for commercial aircraft to date. They include devices for aircraft manufactured by Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier and Embraer used by airlines in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North and South America.

“Airlines and other organizations who purchase FlightSafety’s training devices, visual systems and displays benefit from the company’s latest advances in technology including 60” electric motion and control loading technology and newly enhanced VITAL X visual system,” added Armstrong.

Simulators equipped with FlightSafety’s electric motion and control loading technology offer the highest level of aircraft fidelity, enhanced performance, and increased availability compared to previous-generation devices. They produce less heat, lower levels of ambient noise, and provide a safer environment. VITAL X offers 200 x 40 degree Field-of-View, features continuous global satellite high-resolution imagery, supports hundreds of six Degree of Freedom fully articulated moving models, and is capable of presenting a wide variety of environmental conditions.
