The aircraft left Flying Colours’ facility and arrived at the Lily Jet base on November 29..  The aircraft is scheduled to go into service immediately and will be available for third party charter.

“The Lily Jet aircraft is extremely well equipped and the interior is tastefully decorated,” said Sean Gillespie, director, completion sales and management at Flying Colours. The completion included a state-of-the-art cabin management system, broadband enabling WiFi, a high definition camera system, a mid cabin custom desk, and coloured LED lighting in the restrooms.”  Flying Colours worked directly with Lily Jet to have the aircraft fully certified with the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China). A further three 850s destined for China are currently undergoing completion at the Peterborough and Chesterfield, Mo. facilities. These are anticipated to be ready for delivery in 2012.

The 17-seat VIP configured aircraft, was completed at the Flying Colours Chesterfield-based facility on schedule. “Our implementation of LEAN technology management systems has increased our efficiency and ensures clients receive their aircraft on time and to budget. This is essential in the current economic climate as business’ are reliant on their aircraft to raise income,” said Gillespie.

This latest delivery follows the refurbishment of a similar two Bombardier Challenger 850 business jets, which were delivered via Flying Colours to BAA Jet Management Ltd’s Shenzhen base earlier this year.
Flying Colours recently announced plans to open a base of operation in the Chinese region that will focus on interior refurbishment for a range of mid to large sized business aircraft types including the Global Express series, Challenger types, Dassault Falcon, Embraer, Hawker and Gulfstream models.  The structure and logistics for the new base are expected to be announced in late 2012.
