April 1, 2008, Ottawa – NAV CANADA today announced its traffic figures
for February 2008, as measured in weighted charging units for en-route,
terminal and oceanic air navigation services, in comparison to the same
month in 2007.

The traffic in February 2008 increased by an average of 11.6 per cent compared to the same month in 2007.

Fiscal year-to-date traffic was 6.5 per cent higher than in fiscal year 2007. NAV CANADA’s fiscal year runs from September 1 to August 31. It is noted that due to the leap year, February 2008 reflects one more day than February 2007.

Weighted charging units represent a traffic measure that reflects the number of flights, aircraft size and distance flown in Canadian airspace.
