The highlight will be the unveiling of a new cabin solution that will be the first to wirelessly stream Hollywood-protected content on demand in business aircraft. More details about the offering, as well as new apps aimed at familiarizing pilots with Head-Up Guidance systems (HGS™), and assisting with more efficient flight planning will be discussed at the company’s press conference at 3 p.m. on Oct. 29.

“The merger of consumer technology with the flight deck, cabin and flight operations is expected by our customers and we’re delivering on that expectation,”  said Colin Mahoney, vice president, Sales and Marketing, Commercial Systems for Rockwell Collins.  “The flexibility of our open systems approach is enabling this blending to take place, which enriches the user experience.”

The new offerings will be on exhibit in Rockwell Collins booth (#1896), along with Pro Line Fusion® touch-screen avionics with HGS, Ascend flight operations support and market-leading Venue™ high-definition (HD) cabin management system.

Additionally, Rockwell Collins will host a Caterham F1™ Team show car. Rockwell Collins entered into a strategic agreement with the Caterham F1 Team to provide aviation technology in exchange for promotion on the sport’s world stage.
