Transportation Minister Robert Vessey says the roundabout will also improve access to the airport.

The roundabout will be built at the intersection of Brackley Point and Sherwood roads.

Construction on the $1.5 million project will begin in the spring.

The government says nearly 300,000 people a year travel through the airport.
