Skyworld Aviation sells two Q400s

June 22, 2011, Manassas, Va. - Acting on behalf of Republic Airways Holdings based in Indianapolis, Skyworld Aviation has delivered the first of two Dash 8 Q400 aircraft to Skywork Airlines of Bern, Switzerland.

Skywork Airlines took delivery of serial number 4265 in Canada on 3rd June (now re-registered as HB-JIK). It arrived in Europe the following day and is currently undergoing a re-paint and cabin changes prior to going into operation in Switzerland. The second aircraft, serial number 4184 is due to be delivered in September. Skywork recognises Bern as a significant economic region and underwent a successful route expansion last year, based at Bern-Belp Airport. The airline plans to serve an additional 7 cities in the coming Winter timetable taking the total number of destinations to 12. The airline currently operates two Do328 turboprop aircraft as well as one other Dash 8 Q400 aircraft which was delivered new.

Skyworld Aviation continues to market four remaining Dash 8 Q400’s on behalf of Republic Airways Holdings. Republic Airways Holdings, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, is an airline holding company that owns Chautauqua Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America. The airlines
offer scheduled passenger service on approximately 1,600 flights daily to 135 cities in 43 states, Canada, Costa Rica, and Mexico under branded operations at Frontier, and through fixed-fee airline services agreements with five major U.S. airlines. The airlines currently employ approximately 10,500 aviation professionals and operate 281 aircraft. We have now concluded a total of 28 aircraft related transactions on behalf of the group and these two Dash 8 Q400’s were the first aircraft outside of the Embraer-type we have placed.
