Dec. 17, 2009, Calgary – WestJet today announced the launch of new, non-stop service between Montreal and Las Vegas. The inaugural flight departed from Montreal's Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport.

"Las Vegas is possibly the most popular city in WestJet's destination lineup," said Hugh Dunleavy, WestJet Executive Vice-President of Strategy and Planning. "We knew it was vital that we offer service from another of our Canadian gateways so that even more WestJet guests can travel to this dynamic and exceptional city. It's even more exciting now that we can offer this route to our friends in Quebec on a year-round basis."

WestJet will fly between Montreal and Las Vegas five times per week.

One-way fares, available in both directions on non-stop flights only, are available from $159, plus applicable taxes and fees. Fares are available by calling WestJet's Sales Super Centre at 1-888-WESTJET(937-8538), your preferred travel agent or by visiting www.westjet.com.

As part of its 2010 summer schedule, WestJet is expanding its seasonal service from Montreal to Cancun to include year-round service. WestJet also flies non-stop from Montreal to two of Florida's most popular destinations: Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, with one-way fares starting at $79 for Orlando and for Fort Lauderdale at $99, plus applicable fees and taxes.
