In this role, Williams will lead the company’s global business serving aerospace and defense customers with an enhanced solutions offer through legacy capabilities and recent acquisitions.

Williams, with significant prior experience in the industry, will focus on forging closer relationships with OEM and tier partners to deliver exceptional value through closer collaboration to meet emerging needs. Under Williams, the company will also focus on increased operational effectiveness worldwide to align with ever-increasing complexity in the aerospace value chain.

“Becky has a long and accomplished history with LORD Corporation,” said Ed Auslander, president and CEO of LORD Corporation. “Over the past 38 years, Becky has driven innovation and growth in the areas of engineering, business development, and operations. We are glad to welcome Becky back to our Cary, N.C. headquarters as she transitions into her new role as president of our A&D global industry group.”

Williams previously served as president of the company’s Asia Pacific region. Under her leadership, the APAC region achieved major new customer wins in commercial aerospace, automotive and industrial customers. Prior, she served as director of global business development and marketing.

Williams began her career at LORD in 1979 and has held engineering and management positions in design, manufacturing, and sales and marketing in the company’s aerospace business. Williams holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University.

Williams succeeds Bill Cerami, who will retire at the end of 2017 after a 40-year career at LORD. Under Cerami’s leadership, the LORD Aerospace & Defense business experienced a transformation from a passive component supplier to a mechanical and electro-mechanical systems risk-sharing partner to the key players in the industry. His deep knowledge of customer needs and relentless focus on operational efficiency led to significant growth.

“Through Bill’s leadership, we have increased our effectiveness in meeting customer needs, launched several new product platforms that improve the performance of our customers’ products, and expanded into new markets,” said Auslander. “We are grateful for his many years of dedicated service.”
