CAW members sign two-year pact with NAV CAVADA

Nov. 17, 2011, Ottawa - Nav Canada says a two-year labour contract covering about 270 of its employees has been ratified by members of Canadian Auto Workers, Local 1016.

The collective agreement, which runs from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2013, includes wage increases of three per cent in each year as well as productivity enhancing changes.

The employees provide training and operational support to Canada's air traffic control system.

Nav Canada is a private-sector corporation that provides air traffic control, flight information, weather briefings, airport advisory services and navigation aids used by airports, airlines and aircraft operators.
