Goodrich to expand customer services campus in Monroe, NC

Corporation is expanding its Customer Services headquarters
and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) campus in Monroe, NC. The
$5.5 million facility expansion, slated for completion in the third
quarter of 2008, will increase the company's capabilities and allow for
additional services, including complex repairs of helicopter actuation
products and large aircraft cargo systems.
"Expanding our Monroe campus will help Goodrich grow its services
business through providing best value, exceptional quality and fast
turn times to our customers," said Paul Snyder, President of Customer
Services for Goodrich. "The team in Monroe has demonstrated its
commitment to customer satisfaction through a rigorous application of
lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement. We are
positioned to support the growing aerospace market with new technology,
skills and equipment for commercial and military customers worldwide."
Part of Goodrich's global MRO campus network, the Monroe facility
currently operates at 65,000 square feet and provides MRO and
aftermarket support services for a variety of commercial and military
aircraft components. Since its 2004 opening, the campus' focus on lean
manufacturing practices and continuous improvement has yielded
remarkable and sustainable improvements in delivery performance and
customer satisfaction. The facility received a Manufacturing
Achievement Award in 2006 from the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce's
Manufacturing Business Alliance for organizational performance
