Following an initial contract in 2014, Hellmann recently purchased additional Itemiser DX units to replace legacy systems and ensure its continued compliance with the U.S. Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP).

“Morpho is pleased Hellmann continues to select Itemiser DX to help meet the security demands of their growing cargo business,” said Karen Bomba, president and CEO, Morpho Detection. “The ability of Itemiser DX to detect and identify explosives in challenging environments, combined with Morpho’s global service teams, gives air cargo companies the ability to enhance operational efficiencies by ensuring maximum system performance and uptime.”

A lightweight, portable desktop system, Itemiser DX can detect residue from explosives on parcels, bags, cargo, skin, clothing, vehicles and other surfaces.

“Hellmann constantly strives to increase efficiencies by incorporating advanced technologies into our cargo screening and shipping process,” said Joel Beckman, compliance manager, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. “Working with Morpho helps us achieve this goal while maintaining the highest level of cargo screening efficiency without impacting our bottom line.”

First qualified for air cargo screening in 2010 and certified by seven global regulatory agencies, more than 5,000 Itemiser DX units have been deployed to air cargo screening facilities, airport checkpoints, checked baggage screening and secure locations around the world.
