Less than 18 months after launching, Itemiser 4DX has achieved industry-leading status as Europe’s most selected ETD system to meet the demands of enhanced passenger screening mandates effective September 2015. Building on 15 years heritage of Itemiser systems protecting travellers at leading global aviation hubs, Itemiser 4DX quickly detects and identifies trace amounts of explosives on skin, clothing, carried items, bags, vehicles and other surfaces.

“Congratulations to Morpho Detection employees all over the world on the success of Itemiser 4DX and thank you for your hard work to move the Itemiser platform into the future,” said Karen Bomba, president and CEO, Morpho Detection. “Leveraging the field-proven capabilities of Itemiser and the trust placed in Morpho Detection and our global partners, Itemiser 4DX sets a new industry benchmark for quality and performance. As a result, Itemiser 4DX will be at the forefront of protecting the world’s rapidly growing commercial aviation traffic for years to come.”

After achieving the largest market share in Europe, Itemiser 4DX is positioned strongly for global expansion as airport operators and regulators continue aligning security standards and best practices. In addition to Europe, Itemiser 4DX units have been deployed to airports in the Middle East and Asia. Currently approved for passenger and cargo screening throughout European Civil Aviation Conference’s (ECAC) 44 member nations, Itemiser 4DX eliminates the administrative, regulatory, storage and shipping requirements associated with a radiation-emitting trace detection source.

Combined, Morpho Detection has shipped more than 27,000 desktop, handheld and walkthrough portal ETD systems worldwide.
