Heneghan, Tomecek strengthen Summit team
July 28, 2014, Yellowknife, N.W.T. - The Summit Aviation Group has announced the appointment of Walter Heneghan, Vice President, Health, Safety and Environmental Protection for Summit Air (fixed-wing) and Summit Helicopters, and Todd Tomecek as Vice President, Business Development, Summit Helicopters.

Walter Heneghan brings with him over thirty-five years of aviation experience. Most recently, Walter was Vice President, Safety & Quality with Canadian Helicopters Ltd.; he also served in the Canadian Air Force as a pilot in his early career, after graduating from Royal Military College with a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
“I am very pleased to welcome Todd and Walter to our leadership team,” said Rob Mauracher, President of Summit Air Group. “As an experienced pilot, check airman, mentor and safety advocate, Walter will make a significant contribution to expanding our safety programs.”
Todd Tomecek has been working in the helicopter industry for over twenty years and brings with him both operational experience and international sales and marketing experience. Most recently, Todd was the General Manager of Afghanistan Operations and Director of Flight Operations for Western Canada for Canadian Helicopters Ltd.
“Todd has the right combination of aviation and business development expertise,” commented Mauracher. “He will be instrumental to the continued growth of Summit Helicopters.”
