The pilot,  an air cadet, suffered only minor injuries.

The crash happened yesterday morning about 50 kilometres east of Vancouver, in a residential neighbourhood.

It could easily have turned out much worse as the crash site was surrounded by power lines and near a busy intersection.

The Transportation Safety Board says officials plan to speak with the pilot.

A cadet spokeswoman says the pilot is experienced and certified by Transport Canada.

The glider was dismantled and taken off the roof and will now be assessed to determine whether it will fly again.
