The official opening of the IFTC-Boeing Antalya first fully sustainable flight training center took place this past Saturday. Approximately 200 attendees were present to celebrate this great achievement.

The deployment of this FFS will further enable IFTC to cater to the training needs of its important long-time customer SunExpress (a joint venture between Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa), and to address the continuously growing demand for commercial pilot training in Turkey and the region. By introducing the Train@Home business model in Turkey in 2009, IFTC and Mechtronix set the foundations of a new economic and profitable way to train commercial pilots: training in the comfort of their own country while saving substantial amounts of both money and time.

Marty Van Veluw, CEO of IFTC, said “We are very excited to start operations in Antalya following receipt of our 5th Mechtronix FFS X™. IFTC-Boeing Antalya is a state-of-the-art modular (readily expandable) training center designed entirely by our team, which has developed the most cost and energy efficient training center facilities available to the market. The building is environmentally friendly, relying on sustainable designs through the intelligent use of innovative ‘green’ technologies. By selecting once again Mechtronix as our provider for Full Flight Simulators we are certain that we are acquiring the most advanced, cost efficient and reliable technology in the market.”

Fernando Petruzziello, CEO of Mechtronix, said “We are very proud to continue servicing our long-time customer IFTC for their latest B737-800 FFS requirements and we look forward to the beginning of training operations in Antalya. Recently recognized as a Boeing Approved Training Center, IFTC will be materializing its vision of working closely with customers to provide training solutions at convenient locations.”
