MediaValet to protect Air North’s digital assets

Founded in 1977, Air North offers scheduled service flights throughout the Yukon and surrounding areas, as well as to Vancouver, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, Yellowknife, and Ottawa. Air North also has an active charter services operation with bases in Yukon as well as Vancouver and Edmonton. Some of its main customers include the B.C. Lions football team and its fans, as well as various luxury sport fishing lodges on Haida Gwaii, leisure companies in Reno and Tahoe, and energy companies in Alberta. With a diverse range of operations and a rich history, Air North has developed a large collection of digital assets that has become increasingly difficult to manage.

Before selecting MediaValet, Air North utilized various cloud-based file management and storage systems, on-premise servers, and staff’s desktop computers to store its digital assets. As a result, Air North has faced challenges in terms of being able to find and keep track of assets, manage the use of assets, and, most importantly, to protect critical assets from misuse and loss.

“As we celebrate our 40th anniversary and look back at all the amazing things we’ve achieved and been lucky enough to capture in various media formats, we’ve decided to take managing and protecting our assets seriously,” commented Debra Ryan, strategic planning and alliances manager. “We have finally made the decision to find a system that would not only protect our assets from the threat of being lost but to also help us manage and track the use of our assets. We chose MediaValet as we love their product, their team, and the way they do business.”

Having selected MediaValet’s core enterprise package, Air North will benefit from MediaValet’s industry-leading triple redundancy, geo-replication, and security features as well as MediaValet’s media rendering, version control and rights management modules.

“Air North’s struggle is not unique. Every single day companies call us with similar stories of asset loss, misuse, and inaccessibility,” commented David MacLaren, founder and CEO of MediaValet. “We’re excited to help Air North take control of their assets and give them the peace of mind that their assets are secure and well managed at all times. We’re confident we’ll not only save Air North time and money in marketing operations but also help them realize an immediate increase in the ROI of their historical and current media assets.”
