Dec. 23, 2011 Thunder Bay, Ont. – Pilatus Centre Canada has delivered a new Pilatus PC-12 NG to Nakina Air Services Ltd. (Nakina). The delivery took place yesterday in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and the Pilatus will enter service immediately.

The PC-12 NG is a large single-engine turboprop utility aircraft designed to perform a wide range of missions, including the transport of passengers, cargo or a combination of both. The aircraft is equipped with the Integrated Honeywell Primus Apex Avionics Suite.

“Nakina has been a client of Pilatus Centre Canada since they took delivery of their first PC-12 in 1999. The fact that they selected the PC-12 NG to replace their existing PC-12 is a testament to the Aircraft. Anytime our clients upgrade to a newer Pilatus it is evidence of Pilatus Centre Canada delivering an incredible aircraft and providing exemplary after sales product support,” said Robert Arnone, President & CEO of Pilatus Centre Canada.

“Nakina provides scheduled passenger service in Northwestern Ontario and as such we operate in harsh environments, including winter icing conditions and gravel airfields. We needed an aircraft that is safe, reliable and offers passenger comfort. The Pilatus PC-12 met our requirements and in 1999 we took delivery of our first Pilatus. 12 years, 20,000 hours and 36,000 landings later, we decided it was time to upgrade to the latest Pilatus PC-12 NG. Over the years, the folks at Pilatus Centre Canada have provided us with excellent product support. That, combined with customer satisfaction, convinced us to purchase another Pilatus,” said Greg Bourdignon, Chief Pilot of Nakina.
