Obzerv announces the appointment of the Major General Richard Bastien to its board of directors

Aug. 5, 2009, Quebec – Obzerv Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of active range-gated cameras for long-range applications announced yesterday the appointment of Major General (ret.) Richard Bastien to its Board of Directors. Officially joining the board on May 12th 2009, Mr. Richard Bastien will replace Mr. Michel Lapointe who retired from the board this summer.

"Major General Richard Bastien is widely respected by the military community and he will bring a wealth of expertise and experience to Obzerv Technologies Inc." said Mr. Bonnier, President of Obzerv.

His impressive military career, of more than 35 years with the Canadian Forces culminated in his final appointment as Second in Command of the Air Force. Between 2000 and 2004, he was also Assistant Chief of the Air Staff where he guided the development of the Air Force Strategic Vision and instituted a new Succession Planning process for senior Air Force officers. He also held a number of internationally-based military positions. During the Gulf war, the Major General was one of two Canadian Forces official spokespersons and he met national as well as international media on a daily basis. Major-General (ret.) Richard Bastien now enjoys a second career as an executive-level consultant in the private sector.

The Obzerv' Board of Directors consists of 5 Directors. Mr. Robert Després is the Chairman.
