Roche to lead StandardAero’s Turboprop business
Oct. 5, 2011, Tempe, Ariz. - StandardAero announced today that Tom Roche has been appointed Vice President of StandardAero’s Turboprop business which, in addition to the Pratt & Whitney Canada, PT6A engine service line, includes the PW100 series of engines.

Prior to today’s announcement, Roche was Vice President of StandardAero’s Helicopters business unit.
“Tom has an impressive record of implementing very diligent production processes to improve overall product delivery to our customers,” said Rob Mionis, President & CEO, StandardAero. “His experience and ability to understand the needs of our customers and manage global operations provides StandardAero’s PT6A and PW100 Businesses with the right support as we expand our position in the market as the trusted service partner.”
With 35 years in Aviation Maintenance, Tom has worked with freight haulers and scheduled passenger service aircraft but has dedicated most of his career to engine MRO. Prior to his most recent positions Roche served in a host of leadership positions throughout StandardAero including several operations and functional support roles including time overseas leading the StandardAero Australia operations in Sydney.
Roche received his aviation maintenance training at Confederation College and completed his management education at theUniversity of Manitoba followed by the Executive Development Program at the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics.
Until this most recent position, Roche Chaired the Full-service Integrated Rolls-Royce Support Team council made up of theAuthorized Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Centers and Authorized Maintenance Centers around the world. He also sat on the Helicopter Association International Technical Committee, the Honeywell Authorized Warranty and Repair Stationadvisory board and currently is a member of various other industry associations and standing committees.
StandardAero will be exhibiting at the 64th Annual National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Convention and Expo on Oct. 10–12, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nev., (Booth N6116).
