Health officials say the men are being treated in hospitals in The Pas, Thompson, Flin Flon and Winnipeg.

The pilot of the Cessna 208 aircraft was killed when the plane crashed Sunday morning near the community of Snow Lake.

RCMP say a passenger on the plane used a cellphone to call 911 and alert authorities about the crash.

Rescuers had to use snowmobiles to reach the remote area because poor visibility prevented a military rescue team from parachuting
in.

The Transportation Safety Board says the Cessna 208 operated by Gogal Air Service crashed not long after taking off from the community.
