Thales’ Grenier elected to AIAC board

Oct. 31, 2013, Montreal - Thales Canada, Avionics Vice-president and General Manager Michel Grenier has been elected to serve on the Aerospace Industries Association Canada (AIAC) Board of Directors.

”I am very pleased to have been elected to the board and I am looking forward to contribute to the development of the Canadian Aerospace industry with my colleagues at the AIAC,” said Mr. Grenier.

With more than 25 years of experience in engineering, project management and development of high-tech products in the aerospace industry, Mr. Grenier heads Thales Canada, Avionics located in Montreal. The business is a world-leading supplier of flight control systems for regional and business jets with major customers including Bombardier and Gulfstream. Technology includes the design and integration of avionics suites, flight controls highlighting Fly-By-Wire (FBW) technology, head-up displays, SATCOM systems, Integrated Electronic Standby Instruments and other innovative products. Thales continues to invest a significant part of its revenue in R&D to provide
next generation products and technologies for the business and regional jet market.

Recently, Thales‘ full three-axis Fly-By-Wire (FBW) Flight Control Electronics (FCE) solution was certified on the Gulstream G650 business jet; and, for the second year in a row, Thales has received the Bombardier Achieving Supplier Excellence (BASE) award for its excellent performance with respect to quality and delivery standards.
