Nov. 28, 2008, Fort Smith, N.W.T. – RCMP say three passengers and two crewmembers on board a small aircraft walked away uninjured after theirplane made a hard landing at an airport in Fort Smith, N.W.T.
The plane was travelling to Fort Smith from Hay River, N.W.T. Investigators say poor weather conditions at the time may haveplayed a part in the incident. The left side of the plane was badly damaged. RCMP say the craft involved was a Northwestern Air Lease Ltd.plane.According to its website, Northwestern Air operates four, 19passenger turbo prop aircraft between Edmonton, Fort Smith and Yellowknife, and between Calgary and Fort McMurray, Alta.
