CAV Aerospace has reached a milestone with the installation of the 100th TKS™ system on the world's fastest fixed-gear aircraft, the Cessna 400 Corvalis TT and its predecessor aircraft.

Including factory installations on new aircraft and after-market installations, 100 of the sleek model 400 aircraft now can fly with the proprietary TKS™ system. The 100th system was installed by CAV Aerospace, Inc., at its Salina, Kan., facilities on a model 400 owned by Chris Leevers of Castle Rock, Colo., who is in the grocery business.

Mountain Flying
Leevers uses the airplane primarily to fly to Leevers Supermarkets in Denver, Dallas and Casper, Wyo. Flying in the mountains as he does, ice protection is important to him. "My new CAV Ice Protection System provides peace of mind and increases the flexibility of my 400 when flying in the mountains for business," Leevers said.

His good-looking Model 400 has a sophisticated, stylish cabin, glass cockpit and side-stick control. Cessna's 400 Corvalis TT climbs at 1,400 feet per minute, flies at 25,000 feet and cruises at 235 knots.

And like the available TKS™ Ice Protection option on the 400 Corvalis TT, Leevers' airplane flies the proven system that gives peace of mind to more than 4,000 owners of various models of aircraft from single-engine pistons to medium jets.
