Zoom Airlines launching route to Rome

April 14, 2008, Ottawa- Zoom Airlines is adding to its roster of
value-priced, service-oriented flights with the launch of its route to Rome,
Italy from Toronto on May 3 and Montreal on May 6. With the addition of Rome,
Zoom Airlines now services seven European gateways non-stop from Toronto and
three from Montreal and hopes to capitalize on Italy's growing popularity by
Canadian travellers.

"The addition of Rome to our flight offerings gives Zoom a nice European
balance," said Kris Dolinki, Chief Executive Officer, Zoom Airlines. "Plus,
with Zoom's flexible ticketing, it makes for a great holiday, allowing
customers to fly into one great European destination, like Rome, and home from
another without additional fees or charges."
       

Since 2001, travel to Italy by Canadians has increased more than 90 per
cent according to Statistics Canada and is the only European country to have
gained Canadian market share almost doubling over the 2001-2006 period.
       

"It's clear Canadians are embracing Italy in record numbers," said
Dolinki. "It has a romantic lure and offers great vacation value. Adding Rome
to our transatlantic service means Canadians can find value even before
setting foot in Italy."
       

Zoom Airlines will operate twice weekly flights from Toronto to Rome's
Fiumicino Airport. Weekly service will be available from Montreal.
Introductory prices for Zoom's full service, scheduled flights to Rome start
from as low as $249 one way.
       

Zoom offers a number of seating alternatives, allowing its customers to
select options which best suits their needs and comfort. Zoom's full service
economy service includes a hot meal and snack prior to arrival, free soft
drinks throughout the flight and in-flight entertainment, 31 – 32" seat pitch
and a 20 kg. baggage allowance.
       
Zoom's premium economy service provides leather seating with extra
legroom (36") for more comfort, dedicated check-in, express baggage delivery,
complimentary drinks throughout the flight, free headsets and additional
baggage allowance (30 kg).
