Feb. 14, 2008, Montreal – Air Transat has taken delivery of an additional Airbus A310-300 aircraft, bringing the number of wide-body jets in its fleet to 17. Together with
Transat Holidays and its European partners, the airline will be offering this
summer a total of 63 direct city-pair routes between Canada and Europe – more
than any other airline – and flying travellers to 28 different destinations in
11 countries.

The aircraft, Air Transat's 13th Airbus A310, will make its maiden flight
this weekend, from Montreal to a South destination. Also, new flights to sun
destinations will be added from Regina and Winnipeg this winter season. This
latest addition to the fleet has also resulted in the hiring of 74 flight
attendants and 14 pilots.

As of this coming May, Air Transat will also be enhancing passenger
comfort by increasing the seat pitch – legroom – in Economy class on all of
its aircraft. The change will see the space between each row of seats increase
to 32 inches on average from 30. As a result, beginning in late May, all
Airbus A310s in the fleet will feature a 249-seat configuration: 229 in
Economy and 20 in Club class. Air Transat also operates 4 Airbus A330 that
will feature 342 seats next summer.

In summer 2008, Transat Holidays and Air Transat will add Basel-Mulhouse
as a destination. Located on the France-Swiss border, Bâle-Mulhouse offers
travellers direct access to Switzerland and Alsace Region, in France.
Switzerland thus joins the 10 other European countries served by Air Transat:
Germany, the United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Spain, France, Greece, Ireland,
Italy and the Netherlands. Several new connections will also be inaugurated
this summer: Montreal-Dublin, Toronto-Nice, Vancouver-Paris and Calgary-Paris.
