Bombardier partners with ViaSat for airborne wireless

airborne communications terminal equipment as the company plans to offer
a high-speed internet package in Global 5000 and Global 6000 business
jets.

Aug. 25, 2011 – Bombardier Aerospace has selected ViaSat to provide airborne communications terminal equipment as the company plans to offer a high-speed internet package in Global 5000 and Global 6000 business jets.
Bombardier will use ViaSat's VMT-1500 shipset along with the EMS Aviation CNX-200 router to provide an 'office-in-the-sky' connection for business aviation passengers.
ViaSat's Yonder airborne broadband service provides global aircraft passengers internet connections including Wi-Fi, VPN, email with attachments via laptops, VoIP and the use of other Wi-Fi devices.
