Jazz Dash-8 makes emergency landing at Pearson

Sept. 20, 2011, Toronto - An Air Canada Jazz plane landed safely at Pearson International Airport this morning after reporting a mechanical issue.

The Greater Toronto Airports Authority says emergency measures were deployed after the crew of the flight reported the problem.

There were no injuries when the DASH-8 landed without incident just before 8 a.m.

A GTAA spokesman had no information about the flight.

Air Canada Jazz has been unavailable for comment.
