Mechtronix completes deal with Indonesia air academy

Dec. 11, 2012, Rome, Italy - Mechtronix Inc. announced today that its customer for the FFT X-MPL, Indonesian pilot training organization ST Aerospace Academy (STAA), has successfully completed the in-plant acceptance for their new A320 flight simulator. The device will be installed in STAA’s Singapore training facility during the second quarter of 2013.

The A320 FFT X-MPL was chosen for its versatility and high fidelity, allowing students to be gradually introduced to the complexity of a commercial aircraft such as the A320 during the intermediate phase of their MPL training programme. This transition is made possible with a configurable overhead panel which allows the instructor to build the students skills step-by-step until they are fully familiar with all the A320 cockpit components.

Mark Dransfield, Vice President Validation & Qualification said, “Mechtronix counts 10 Airbus FFS X and FFT X worldwide, and we are thrilled to see this number increase with the installation of our first A320 FFT X-MPL in Singapore.

We are very pleased that STAA has trusted in our solution which is unique in the market; this is a milestone in our strategy to provide new and innovative technology to airlines adopting MPL in their operations.”
