Porter, Singapore Airlines sign interline pact
Jan. 28, 2013, Toronto - Porter Airlines has reached a third interline agreement, this one with Singapore Airlines.

The agreement covers passengers travelling between Toronto's Billy Bishop airport and Singapore's Changi airport.
The two airlines have agreed to ease passenger transfers between connecting flights at the New York City area's Liberty International airport in Newark, N.J.
Currently there is one connecting flight in each direction daily.
Travellers will be able to buy tickets through Singapore Airlines and check baggage through to their final destination, effective immediately.
Porter has been signing interline agreements with foreign carriers looking to build their connections to Canada. It announced its first interline deal with Qatar Airways in August and its second with South African Airways in September.
"This is Porter's third interline agreement as we continue looking for opportunities to open new destinations for our customers and also introduce Porter to travellers around the world,'' said president and CEO Robert Deluce.
C.W. Foo, Singapore Airlines' regional vice-president for the Americas, said "we look forward to providing travellers a more seamless flying experience for both business and leisure.''
The Singapore-bound trip from Toronto includes a one-hour layover in Newark while there's a 90-minute layover on the Toronto-bound trip from Singapore.
