Bombardier, Aston Martin to collaborate on business jet design

Luxury automotive manufacturer Aston Martin and Bombardier signed a letter of intent to collaborate on custom cabin design services for Bombardier’s Challenger and Global business jets.

Back in late-2019, Aston Martin also reached a design collaboration deal with Airbus Corporate Helicopters, which on January 3, 2020, revealed the first ACH130 Aston Martin Edition at Courchevel in the French Alps.

“Aston Martin has a highly refined set of automotive design principles, driven by the meticulous application of proportion, craft and technical innovation,” said Marek Reichman, Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, Aston Martin. “Bombardier’s customers share our owners’ desire for unique contemporary design statements.”

Bombardier points to its own recent cabin innovations like the patented Nuage seating collection and the Pur Air system. The Montreal plane maker’s Global aircraft recently received recognition in the annual International Yacht & Aviation Awards for the Nuage, in addition to the Red Dot award for product design for the Global 7500.

Bombardier Challenger 350 most delivered in medium category

Last week, Bombardier’s Challenger 350 aircraft was announced as the most-delivered medium category business jet in 2020, according to General Aviation Manufacturers Association’s annual shipment and billings report. This makes the Challenger 350 the medium category leader for a seventh consecutive year.
