May 8, 2012 – Professionalism, impeccable customer service and attention to detail. They're key elements that drive all reliable fixed based operators (FBO) and WINGS magazine is once again searching for the country's top facilities.

In our inaugural Top Canadian FBOs survey report in the September/October issue last year, Montreal's Starlink/Signature captured top honours for its unique combination of excellent service, amenities and safe and reliable operations. This classy operation had just gone through a 30,000 sq. ft. addition to its hangar and had morphed into a 24/7, 365-day-per-year operation. A department reorganization also ensured more cohesive, seamless service to clients – something all top FBOs strive to maintain. "Our desire to be the safest, most progressive business aviation provider in the world" drives our business, said Brenda Libby, vice-president, sales and marketing with Starlink Aviation/Signature.

Last year's report also highlighted four additional FBOs from coast-to-coast:

  • Best FBO in Western Canada (B.C., Alta., Y.T., N.W.T.): Million Air YVR
  • Best FBO in Central Canada (Sask., Man., Nunavut): Kelly Western Jet Centre YWG
  • Best FBO in Ontario: Skyservice YYZ
  • Best FBO in Quebec: Starlink/Signature YUL
  • Best FBO in Atlantic Canada (N.B., N.L., N.S., P.E.I.): Shell Aerocentre YYT
  • Most Preferred Fuel: Esso
  • Most Preferred Fuel/Charge Card: AvCard
